Mandarin Stone is a leading importer of natural stone and porcelain products in the UK. We are a family run business with our Head Office based in the beautiful Welsh border town of Monmouth.
We have 15 inspirational showrooms across the UK and are currently recruiting for a Showroom Sales Consultant to join the team in our Bath Showroom.

The role of a Sales Consultant is predominantly to provide Customer Service and support for clients as they browse our extensive range of products, guiding them through the buying process from the first visit through to advice on installing materials once delivered.

Duties include, providing advice and guidance on products, design ideas, raising quotations, dealing with telephone queries, dealing with issues as they arise, taking payment on orders, booking deliveries and much more.

• Providing a high level of customer service throughout the sales journey
• Ascertain customers’ needs and requirements and provide add on sales opportunities
• Building client relationships; following through the sale from the initial enquiry, securing the order and organising delivery
• To offer product and technical advise
• Work as part of a fast paced and close team
• Maintaining high presentation standards within the showroom
• Administrative responsivities including; answering customer calls, confirming orders, dealing with email inquiries, processing payments, arranging samples to be dispatched, chasing sales leads and providing aftercare service
• Liaise with other Head Office to keep customers informed of their order status

About you

You do not need prior industry experience before you join as we provide a comprehensive training programme to familiarise you with our product range. Having a creative flair with an eye for colour would be an advantage.

In return Mandarin Stone offers an excellent basic salary, a non target driven environment with the emphasis on Customer Service, optional Pension Scheme, four weeks holiday per year, increasing with length of service, Bupa healthcare after a qualifying period, excellent working conditions and travel costs when travelling beyond your remit.

You must be passionate about creating visually stunning content that captures the attention of our broad audience, have a very strong interest in interior design and be enthusiastic about the products we are marketing.

Duties Include:
– Shoot, produce and edit captivating video and still photography content for all of our social channels and website.
– Generating ideas.
– Researching topics up to date with the industry trends.
– Editing and optimising for SEO.
– Promoting and engaging with audience.
– Analysing performance and engaging with audience.
– Analysing performance metrics to refine future content strategies.
– Writing content for blog and other areas.
– Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure content aligns with brand messaging and goals.
– Meet deadlines and have excellent communication skills.
– Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and influencers.

About you

– Previous interior styling experience would be advantageous as you will need to style our products and settings in line with current brand style.
– Previous copy writing experience would be beneficial in order to produce compelling blogs and tile edits.
– Broad knowledge and experience of all social media channels.
– Graphic design and WooCommerce experience would be desirable.
– Excellent written communication and attention to detail is essential.

Working hours

Part-time basis 2 – 3 days a week.
This role will predominantly be based working from home; however, the successful candidate must drive as you will need to visit our Showrooms, Head Office and photoshoots.

Our Head Office is based in the beautiful Wye Valley in the Welsh border town of Monmouth. We have 15 inspirational showrooms across the UK and are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Assistant to join our Maintenance Team based at our Monmouth Head Office.

Supporting the Maintenance Manager in completing general maintenance at our Head Office and Showrooms. You will also support the Merchandising team in completing refurbishments in our existing Showrooms and any new Showroom openings. For these duties, you will be expected to travel to the Showroom location. Refurbishment projects will require you to stay away from home.

Duties include:
-Carry out general repairs and building work, including carpentry, minor plumbing, decoration and tiling and any other reasonable task requested by the line manager in connection with the general upkeep of internal and external areas.
-Showroom refurbs and fits, undertaking rip out work.
-Carrying out finishing work, such as painting and tiling.
-Providing high standards of repairs and maintenance across multi trades.
-Inspecting repairs.
-Use a variety of tools and equipment to complete tasks.

About you

– An all rounder with strong practical skills and first hand knowledge in tiling, carpentry and plumbing.
– Customer skills
– Has an outstanding work ethic and the drive to complete work to an excellent standard.
– Ability to work with minimal supervision.
– Ability to work in different settings.
– Good communication skills
– Must be able to work on own initiative and work in small teams, as well as lone working.

Our Head Office is based in the beautiful Wye Valley in the Welsh border town of Monmouth. We have 15 inspirational showrooms across the UK and are currently recruiting for a Yard Assistant to join our Operations Team.

– Responsible for the cleaning and tidying of the warehouse, including keeping stock lines neat and tidy
– Cleaning the forklift trucks on a fortnightly basis, in line with operational cleaning standards
– Bailing cardboard and plastic recycling wood into skips in order to keep rubbish sites clear and to ensure adherence to the Health & Safety
– Collecting gas bottles ready for collection and the distribution of new gas bottles
– To ensure good housekeeping is maintained at all times the warehouse and yard areas

About you

You do not need prior industry experience before you join as we provide on the job training. We look for people who are motivated, can work independently and as part of a team and good time management.

A counterbalance Forklift License is essential.

Working hours

Working hours are 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday – Friday
9:00 am – 12:30 pm alternate Saturdays.
