Nestled in the foothills of the Cotswolds in Charlton Kings, Cheltenham, ‘Said Properties’ took on the project of replacing a dilapidated bungalow with a modern family home. With the help of RRA Architects, this new build was thoughtfully laid out and embraces the concept of contemporary, open-plan living, whilst still hinting towards aspects of the property that was previously sited there.
Our ‘Agincourt Grey’ Tumbled Limestone was used through the kitchen and living spaces as well as the laundry room and study. This stone provides a simple grey backdrop, yet with natural tonal variation and textured surface, proves that a more characterful, natural stone can still combine perfectly with contemporary architecture.
Offering a highly durable surface, the ‘Agincourt Grey’ Tumbled Limestone was continued through to outside spaces via ‘crittall’ style windows and doors, offering a desirable and seamless transition from indoor to out.
The bathrooms, all benefiting from natural light were designed with the help of Obsidian Interiors. All have an elegant, slightly scandinavian feel but each very different in their own right. The most striking being the dramatic, dark bathroom where our ‘Fusion Black Matt,’ stone-effect, porcelain tiles features throughout. Mixing the extra large format 1200x600mm and on-trend chevrons combined with stylish brass fittings, the finished result is beautiful.
