Graphic Designer

Remote Working

About the role

We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic individual to join our Marketing Team, ideally with 4+ years graphic design experience. You will take ownership of projects and take them from brief to completion, utilising your conceptual design skills. You will also need to be technically strong, be able to set up all artwork and files ready for print.

• Both design and artworking on a variety of creative genres
• Continue working inline with existing company branding with opportunity to move this forwards
• Print design including brochures, national advertisements, promotional items, stationary, showroom merchandising, packaging, signage
• Social media assets, basic web design and emails
• Liase confidently with printers and external agencies
• Liase with our showrooms for all merchandising, including large and small format print and ensure these are delivered to the showrooms on time
• Take responsibility of our Image Library and have a good knowledge of resizing images, resolution etc

Required skills

• Preferably 4+ graphic design experience
• Creative thinker who can develop new design concepts, graphic and layouts
• Strong working knowledge of graphic design software packages
• Strong artwork skills with excellent attention to detail
• Excellent colour usage, typography, space and layout skills
• An understanding of production considerations such as image resolution and fundamentals of print processes to prepare files for pre-press production
• Strong organisational skills, be able to provide timelines for projects and always meet strict deadlines
• Excellent communication skills to work within our internal small team and liase confidently with our showrooms and external companies

Desireable skills

• Design experience with the interiors industry
• Any digital, web or online design skills, including Wordpress
• Copywriting skills
• Strong social media knowledge
• To be able to create moving content for social media

Working hours

Full time position or opportunity for 3/4 days a week or shorter hours split over 5 days (pro-rata) for a talented in-house Graphic Designer, preferably working remotely. Salary negotiable depending on experience.

Sales Consultant

Fulham Road Showroom

About the role

The role of a Sales Consultant is predominantly to provide Customer Service and support for clients as they browse the extensive range of products displayed within our showrooms, guiding them through the buying process from the first visit through to advice on installing materials once delivered.

Duties include, providing advice and guidance on products, design ideas, raising quotations, dealing with telephone queries, dealing with issues as they arise, taking payment on orders, booking deliveries and much more.

About you

We look for people that thrive on working in a customer focused environment and pride themselves on providing the highest level of customer service. The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated, well presented and computer literate.

No previous industry experience is necessary; all we ask for is someone who ideally has experience working in a customer service environment. As part of your role as a Sales Consultant you would be expected to travel between showrooms to provide cover therefore a full driving licence and your own transport is essential.

HGV Driver - Class 2 (Nights Out)

Monmouth Head Office

About the role

Mandarin Stone is a leading importer of natural stone and porcelain products in the UK. We are a family run business that has grown into a very successful and reputable company within the industry. We have 13 inspirational showrooms across the UK and are currently recruiting for a HGV Driver (Class 2) to operate one of our 18 tonne Crane vehicles.

As part of the role, you will be required to work at least three nights out per week, with additional rates to cover this. Duties include loading and offloading our products at Head Office and at client premises.

Requirements

A valid Class 2 licence and CPC care are essential.

A counter balance fork lift licence is desirable but not essential.

Stock Check Supervisor

Mandarin Stone is a leading importer of natural stone and porcelain products in the UK. We are a family run business that has grown into a very successful and reputable company within the industry. We have 13 inspirational showrooms across the UK and are currently recruiting for a Stock Check Supervisor to join our Operations team at our Head Office in Monmouth.

As the department Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the Stock Check Assistants, ensuring the smooth running of the department and daily workloads are met. You should have a proactive and flexible approach to your workload and may be called upon to support other departments to support with urgent requests and problem solving.

• Undertaking stock checks as directed, to ensure that the physical stock levels are accurate against the system
• Maintaining accurate and up to date records on the system
• Responsible for the stock control process for any damages
• Adhering to our Health and Safety policy and ensuring your work area is kept clean and tidy

About you

We look for organised individuals, with good attention to detail and the ability to manage your own workload as well as ensuring your team meet deadlines.

Previous supervisory / people management experience is essential.
