Mandarin Stone is a leading importer of natural stone and porcelain products in the UK. We are a family run business that has grown into a very successful and reputable company within the industry. Our Head Office is based in the beautiful Wye Valley in the Welsh border town of Monmouth. We have 16 inspirational showrooms across the UK and we currently have numerous vacancies across our sites & showrooms.

About the role

You will be responsible for the safe and efficient deliveries using a Class 2 vehicle fitted with a crane. You will be responsible for loading and unloading goods safely, operating the crane in accordance with company procedures, completing relevant vehicle checks and ensuring all deliveries are made professionally and on time.

Duties include:

– Loading and offloading our products at Head Office, showroom locations and a client premises
– Hook and Sling / Mechanical offload
– May also be required to support other transport operations when the need arises
– Daily inspection checks of vehicle and all attachments and equipment
– Daily use of onboard equipment to register deliveries and obtain photographic proof
– Vehicle cleaning to maintain the company image

About you

Experience:

– A valid Class 2 licence and CPC card are essential
– Experience driving a Class 2 vehicle for at least one year
– Crane licence (valid)
– Forklift licence would be an advantage
– Use of electronic data devices

Working hours

Working hours are 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday – Friday and 9:00 am – 12:30 pm with some Saturday working

About the role

The main purpose of this role is to take responsibility for the efficient, compliant and cost-effective movement of our products into international markets. You will manage the end-to-end process, working closely with customers, suppliers, freight forwarders, hauliers and internal teams. You will also provide guidance on export enquiries, pricing, lead times and international regulations, while supporting the continuous improvement of our export process.

Duties include:

– Coordinate export enquiries, pricing, lead times and shipping requirements.
– Ensure customs documentation, TSS declarations and export processes are accurate and compliant.
– Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs, VAT and international export regulations.
– Build strong relationships with customer and export-related issues and complaints.
– Support the Head of Finance with Export VAT enquiries and HMRC custom audits.
– Review freight and supplier invoices against agreed rates.
– Maintain accurate records and ensure export systems, including SAP, are kept up to date.
– Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs and increase efficiency.
– Support and train colleagues on export procedures and best practice.
– Produce relevant reports and management information as required.

About you

Experience:

You will ideally have previous experience in exports, international logistics, freight or supply chain, with a good understanding of customs and export regulations.

– Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
– Confident managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
– A strong communicator with excellent customer service skills.
– Commercially aware and confident working with costs and suppliers.
– Proactive, solutions-focused and comfortable working independently.
– Confident using business systems such as SAP or similar.
– A positive team player who is happy to share knowledge and support colleagues.

Working hours

8.30am – 5.00pm or 9.00am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday with alternate or 1 in 3 Saturday mornings. We are closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

About the role

The main purpose of this role as Fabrication Production Manager will be taking responsibility for overseeing the fabrication of stone and porcelain products, ensuring all projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and efficiency. You will combine technical expertise in stone and porcelain materials with strong leadership, developing effective production systems, mentoring staff and continually improving processes. You will also provide guidance and support to the wider team, ensuring Health & Safety compliance and upholding Mandarin Stone’s reputation for craftsmanship and service.

Duties include:
– Oversee daily stone and porcelain tasks, ensuring efficiency, precision and a consistently high standard of work
– Lead, train and support the fabrication team, sharing specialist porcelain knowledge and techniques
– Plan, organise and monitor production schedules to ensure projects are delivered on time
– Resolve production issues quickly and effectively, using your technical expertise to find the best solutions
– Ensure all stone and porcelain products are packed, handled and transported safely to avoid damage
– Uphold strict Health & Safety standards and ensure safe use of specialist handling and cutting equipment
– Maintain good housekeeping and oversee routine machinery maintenance

About you

Experience:

– Proven experience in stone and/or porcelain fabrication and production in a supervisory or managerial role
– Specialist and in-depth knowledge of stone and porcelain
– Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
– Excellent attention to detail, organisational ability and problem-solving skills
– A commitment to Health & Safety and maintaining high quality standards

You do not need prior industry experience before you join as we provide a comprehensive training programme to familiarise you with our product range. Having a creative flair with an eye for colour would be an advantage.

We are looking for a Sales Consultant to work 3 to 4 days per week, which includes weekend working. Flexibility to cover days off and holiday would be an advantage.

– Correctly label orders before they are distributed.

About you

You do not need prior industry experience before you join as we provide on the job training. We look for people who are motivated, can work independently and as part of a team and good time management.

A Forklift License is desirable.
