Our Head Office is based in the beautiful Wye Valley in the Welsh border town of Monmouth. We have 16 inspirational showrooms across the UK and we currently have numerous vacancies across our sites & showrooms.

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Assistant on a 6-month Fixed Term contract to support our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on experience in both Accounts payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring accurate and timely financial processing.

Duties include:
– Process invoices, payments, and expense claims (Accounts payable)
– Track incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balance (Accounts Receivable)
– Reconcile supplier and customer accounts
– Assist with bank reconciliations and finical reporting
– Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
– Support month-end closing processes including yearend audit
– Support the Head of Finance with any adhoc projects
– Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders as required

About you

– Previous experience in a finance or accounting role, with exposure to AP and AR
– Strong numerical and analytical skills
– Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
– High attention to detail and accuracy
– Goods communication and organisational skills
– Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Desirable:
– AAT qualification (or working towards) or equivalent
– Experience with ERP / accounting systems

Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm
