Our Alicante Terracotta floor tile offers square and rectangular formats to recreate traditional terracotta flooring. These terracotta tiles are Spanish in origin and rich in colour, adding timeless style and authenticity to your home. Useful Information

A thin bed of rapid-setting adhesive, suitable for the underlying substrate, should be used to minimise the amount of moisture transferred through to the tile. Terracotta tiles can be sealed by one of two methods.

The first method is more traditional and uses a 50:50 mix of boiled linseed oil and white spirit which is applied after fixing until the tiles are saturated. This should then be followed by a solid paste wax in either clear or medium brown before an application of Fila Satin.

The second method of sealing these terracotta tiles is by using a base sealant coat of either Fila Fob or Fila MP90 Eco Xtreme and then finished off with 1-2 coats of Fila Satin or Fila Matt.
