Mosaics are crafted by arranging small marble pieces, known as tesserae, closely together to create a larger, unified image or design. The visual impact of a mosaic lies in how these individual fragments blend from a distance into a compelling, cohesive picture.

The rustic cut mosaic range is provided on mesh-backed sheets measuring approximately 300 x 300 x 10mm. This mesh backing ensures consistent spacing and alignment, making installation more accurate and straightforward.

Installation

Adhesive: Use a high-performance adhesive designed for natural stone to ensure a strong bond without staining the marble. For mosaics, choose one that provides even coverage for smaller pieces.
Grout: We provide a broad selection of Ardex tile grouts that are flexible, water-repellent, and available in a wide range of colours, perfect for matching or contrasting with your tiles.
Sealing: Marble is porous and should be sealed to protect against stains and moisture. Mosaics, with more grout lines, especially benefit from sealing. A grout protector is also recommended to preserve the finish.

Maintenance

Clean with a pH-neutral cleaner like Fila Cleaner. Avoid acidic or abrasive products, which can damage marble and grout. Regular care will help maintain its natural beauty.

We offer fast, reliable delivery across the UK & Ireland using our own specialised fleet alongside an external pallet service.

Delivery availability & charges

Orders are typically delivered within 3-5 working days, with delivery date and costs confirmed at checkout.
Most deliveries take place between 8:00 am and 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays.
Delivery charges depend on the size and weight of your order and are shown separately from product prices to keep our tiles competitively priced.
Delivery to UK mainland starts at £45 per crate, which covers up to approximately 1000 kg.
Parcel delivery charges (UK mainland only):
Up to 5kg – £4.12 | Up to 10kg – £6.62 | Up to 20kg – £8.29
A.M. deliveries (8:00 am–1:00 pm) are available for an additional £18 + VAT, subject to area.

Further information

Someone must be available to accept, sign for, and safely store the goods, which the driver will place at the nearest accessible point, such as the driveway or kerbside.
Special orders, slabs, large-format tiles, some bathware, and sizeable orders are usually delivered using specialist off-load vehicles, which may increase delivery times.
UK Mainland deliveries exclude the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, and the Scottish Highlands, please contact our Sales Team for these areas.

Returns

We hope you love your Mandarin Stone products, but if not, we offer a 30-day returns policy.

Goods must be returned within 7 days of receiving authorisation.
Return address: Mandarin Stone, Unit 1 Wonastow Road Industrial Estate, Monmouth, NP25 5JB.
All returns must be scheduled in advance and made between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Please clearly mark the returns number on all packages, boxes, crates, and pallets.
Tiles are fragile, so please ensure packaging is secure; refunds will not be issued if items or packaging are returned in unsaleable condition.
Refunds for resalable goods will be processed within 10 days, minus a 20% restocking fee.
