Ceramic mouldings are crafted from fired clay and, like other ceramic products, are fired at lower temperatures than porcelain. This results in a slightly higher water absorption rate, making them ideal for decorative wall use rather than flooring. Typically glazed with a smooth, often glossy finish, ceramic pencil skirtings are used to frame tiled areas or provide a clean, refined edge to splashbacks and feature walls.
Installation
- Adhesive: For best results, use an adhesive specifically formulated for ceramic tiles to ensure a secure and lasting bond.
- Grout: We offer a wide range of Ardex tile grouts that are flexible, water-repellent, and available in various colours, ideal for coordinating or contrasting with your chosen tiles.
- Sealing: Ceramic pencil skirtings generally do not require sealing. However, we recommend using a grout protector to preserve the appearance of grout lines and keep the finish looking fresh.
To keep your ceramic pencil skirtings looking their best, clean them regularly with a pH-neutral cleaner like Fila Cleaner Pro. Avoid using abrasive tools or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the glazed surface or affect grout quality.

Delivery availability & charges
Orders are typically delivered within 3-5 working days, with delivery date and costs confirmed at checkout.
Most deliveries take place between 8:00 am and 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays.
Delivery charges depend on the size and weight of your order and are shown separately from product prices to keep our tiles competitively priced.
Delivery to UK mainland starts at £45 per crate, which covers up to approximately 1000 kg.

Up to 5kg – £4.12 | Up to 10kg – £6.62 | Up to 20kg – £8.29A.M. deliveries (8:00 am–1:00 pm) are available for an additional £18 + VAT, subject to area.
Further information
Someone must be available to accept, sign for, and safely store the goods, which the driver will place at the nearest accessible point, such as the driveway or kerbside.
Special orders, slabs, large-format tiles, some bathware, and sizeable orders are usually delivered using specialist off-load vehicles, which may increase delivery times.
UK Mainland deliveries exclude the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, and the Scottish Highlands, please contact our Sales Team for these areas.

Goods must be returned within 7 days of receiving authorisation.

All returns must be scheduled in advance and made between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Please clearly mark the returns number on all packages, boxes, crates, and pallets.
Tiles are fragile, so please ensure packaging is secure; refunds will not be issued if items or packaging are returned in unsaleable condition.
Refunds for resalable goods will be processed within 10 days, minus a 20% restocking fee.
