Referencing the classic tiled floors found in Victorian hallways and entrance porches, the Portman Black & White Mosaic offers a timeless interpretation of traditional geometric design. The crisp monochrome palette creates a strong visual rhythm, ideal for both period properties and contemporary interiors seeking heritage character. Supplied on a convenient 50×50 mm chip mosaic sheet (301×301×6 mm), it allows for easy installation and can be paired seamlessly with the Border and Corner tiles in the Portman range to create a coherent and striking hallway design.

Please note: The Portman range consists of 6 mm thick porcelain tiles. They can be used indoors and outdoors, but we recommend contacting us for guidance before specifying for outdoor flooring, especially in high-traffic or exposed locations.

The Portman Black & White Matt Porcelain Mosaic is provided on mesh-backed sheets measuring approximately 301x301x6mm. This mesh backing ensures consistent spacing and alignment, making installation more accurate and straightforward.

Installation

Adhesive: For optimal results, use a suitable adhesive formulated for mosaic tiles.
Grout: We offer a wide range of Ardex tile grouts that are flexible, water-repellent, and available in various colours, ideal for coordinating or contrasting with your chosen tiles.
Sealing: Ceramic tiles generally do not require sealing. However, we recommend applying a grout protector to help maintain the appearance of the grout lines over time.

Maintenance

Maintain your ceramic tiles with a pH-neutral cleaner such as Fila Cleaner Pro. Avoid abrasive tools or harsh chemicals, which may damage the surface or affect the grout.

Delivery

We offer fast, reliable delivery across the UK & Ireland using our own specialised fleet alongside an external pallet service.

Delivery availability & charges

Orders are typically delivered within 3-5 working days, with delivery date and costs confirmed at checkout.
Most deliveries take place between 8:00 am and 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays.
Delivery charges depend on the size and weight of your order and are shown separately from product prices to keep our tiles competitively priced.
Delivery to UK mainland starts at £45 per crate, which covers up to approximately 1000 kg.
Parcel delivery charges (UK mainland only):
Up to 5kg – £4.12 | Up to 10kg – £6.62 | Up to 20kg – £8.29
A.M. deliveries (8:00 am–1:00 pm) are available for an additional £18 + VAT, subject to area.

Further information

Someone must be available to accept, sign for, and safely store the goods, which the driver will place at the nearest accessible point, such as the driveway or kerbside.
Special orders, slabs, large-format tiles, some bathware, and sizeable orders are usually delivered using specialist off-load vehicles, which may increase delivery times.
UK Mainland deliveries exclude the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, and the Scottish Highlands, please contact our Sales Team for these areas.

Returns

We hope you love your Mandarin Stone products, but if not, we offer a 30-day returns policy.

Goods must be returned within 7 days of receiving authorisation.
Return address: Mandarin Stone, Unit 1 Wonastow Road Industrial Estate, Monmouth, NP25 5JB.
All returns must be scheduled in advance and made between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Please clearly mark the returns number on all packages, boxes, crates, and pallets.
Tiles are fragile, so please ensure packaging is secure; refunds will not be issued if items or packaging are returned in unsaleable condition.
Refunds for resalable goods will be processed within 10 days, minus a 20% restocking fee.
