5 Stylish schemes for the new season

We’ve compiled a few of our favourite ways to upgrade, elevate and reinvigorate your interior with tiles for walls and floors.

If your bathroom is in need of an update and you’re in search of some inspiration, read on to discover our round up of tile schemes that feel both fresh and timeless. For those that like the idea of rich colour, but feel more comfortable with neutral, natural hues, why not consider an earthy brown palette, which has a cocooning feel without being overpowering. Or, look to moody blues and deep greens for a calming space that doesn’t compromise on character. With darker shades such as this, it’s worth noting the effect that surface finish will have on your completed space, as a gloss tile will play out differently from a matt design.

Another way to inject warmth and personality is with aged or patterned tiles, which can be a really impactful addition, even if you don’t have the budget to update other areas of your space, such as kitchen units or bathroom sanitaryware. We’re still seeing lots of beautiful checkerboard floors being installed in all areas of the home, as well as more ornate designs brought to life in delicate colourways. Even if you’re in favour of a simple white scheme, remember that there are plenty of ways to introduce depth, interest and texture, such as with luxurious marble or marble-effect porcelain, or textured tiles with deliberate surface imperfections that catch the light and soften the overall look of your space.

Back to brown

Rich, warm and enveloping, it’s not hard to see why brown is one of the key colour trends of this year.

Chequerboard

There’s nothing quite like a chequerboard design to draw the eye and provide a timeless feel to any space.

Quiet Luxury

Sometimes less really is more, and using pale honed marble or marble-effect tiles with subtle veining is the epitome of low-key luxury.

Eclectic

For a space with real soul, consider tiles with an understated aged appearance.

Moody hues

Create a cocooning bathroom sanctuary with wall tiles in deep, dramatic shades.
